Who’s your favorite Sailor Moon animator??
Hmm…in most instances I like Ikuko Ito, but every now and then there’s a frame or scene that bugs me. Miho Shimogasa is another one that I like a lot. Especially in Ami’s First Love. Taichi Nakamura’s pretty good. For most of the animators, I can’t really spot them by their style…and that’s a good thing, I think. I like an animator that doesn’t stand out from the others, but is still very good at drawing the characters. Taichi Nakamura’s good for that. Miho Shimogasa and Ikuko Ito are subjective favorites of mine, but they do tend to stand out as being different from the norm and my objective side wants to take off points for that.
Essentially, I’m undecided. I can almost never pick favorites in anything. Even the bad animators have their moments. But Ito, Shimogasa, and Nakamura are probably my top three.
